Here we go again
The Chairman, Christopher Golding was told by the Stacey Centre management on 14 September 2020, that we have three months to end our tenancy, due to the Stacey Centre needing to generate much more income from the rooms they have available. The new terms on offer at this point are likely to be unacceptable to us.
Fortunately, as they say, "The mother of invention" came into play during March this year, when we had to re-think the recording process during lockdown. It meant losing some of our usual readers, who were unable to read at home and record, and getting the remainder who had such recording facilities to stand-in for those who were unable to take part (also increasing their workload). Consequently, we were able to continue with every recording from March until September until we regained access and were able to revive memory sticks with our specialist equipment and send them out to you. For the six months that we were unable to send out recordings, we put every recording online, and some were even made available via Amazon ALEXA and a dedicated telephone service. So this success means we can continue recording from home and get the recordings put together ready for you to listen to.
What we do need is a space to be able to install a table and chairs so that we can prepare wallets to send out and of course copy the recordings to put in those wallets. If anyone knows of a space that might be available, could you please contact Christopher Golding on 07770 088388 or Trevor Muston 07443496437 with the details
